Recording format
Recordings in autobtd6/playthroughs/ use the .btd6 text format. Comments begin with #. A filename identifies map, variation and reference resolution. Coordinates are relative to that reference game image; changing capture scaling without converting coordinates will break placement.

Paths are numbered 0, 1 and 2. Each upgrade action advances one tier on its path; legal crosspaths and the account’s unlocked tiers must be checked. Round instructions wait for the indicated round. Keep timing, cash costs, ability actions and targeting from the original strategy. Inspect the runner parser for supported instructions rather than inventing commands.
Mode restrictions
Primary Only, Military Only and Magic Monkeys Only require the corresponding tower class. CHIMPS forbids income farming and selling. Half Cash and Alternate Bloons Rounds require their own economic and threat checks. A successful CHIMPS route is useful source material, but changing its mode does not prove another variation wins.
Placement and special maps
Land and water heroes require valid surfaces. Obstacles, covered areas, freezing and moving platforms can invalidate otherwise useful coordinates. Read lib/map-mechanics.js and inspect failure screenshots. Prefer the original recorded point first; a fallback spot can change range and line of sight enough to weaken the strategy.
Avoid duplicate attempts
lib/route-validation.js rejects structural errors and computes strategy identities independent of comments and tower variable names. Identical recordings at the same reference resolution are grouped during selection. Distinct timing and coordinates remain separate candidates. Known locked account requirements block an unattended launch.
Evidence and outcomes
A route finishing its action list must continue until the game result. Free Monkey Knowledge placements need visual verification because cash may not change. Upgrade retries must avoid accidentally purchasing an extra tier. Record the first failed action, round, screenshot and route identity. Keep victory, defeat, interruption and saved medal confirmation separate.
